Hello everyone!
My name is Angelica Walde and I am a civil engineering major currently going into my junior year here at The University of New Mexico. I just finished my first semester of SWE and this is my first leadership position. I am excited to be a co-chair of the social media team along with my twin sister Cassandra Walde for the 2021-2022 school year!

This year I am excited to see what SWE does because I have heard about the conferences they go to ( this year it is in Indiana!) and because hopefully we will actually be in person to meet! From the last semester that I have attended SWE I really enjoyed our guest speakers, SWE’s plant night, and the SWE night escape room that we did all over zoom. This summer I am taking 5 summer courses so my summer has been a little hectic. But usually during summer I go to California for vacation, I like to go camping and I like hanging out with my friends. I was introduced to this group by my friend Sasha! Then I joined this group for the potential to meet new people and to be in a well respected group that is well known for their community service. When I am not doing homework I am usually at work, hanging out with friends and family, or I am traveling. Other than that I really like to get coffee from different coffee shops around New Mexico, and I really love to travel to new places! (The picture below is Cassandra on the left and me on the right)
