Tuesdays – SOE Registration
Help incoming students to the School of Engineering register for courses. Your knowledge and experience with the engineering curriculum would be very helpful! This will be taking place everyTuesday at 1:15pm-3:30pm and we need at least two students there every week.
Wednesdays – Student Orientation
All summer long incoming freshman will be participating in Student Orientation and SWE will be there to invite our new classmates to join the society. If you are interested in sharing your experience in SWE, UNM, or STEM with incoming students then please let us know.
June 30th – Space Camp Student Panel
Engineering student services is putting together a student panel. We do not have all the details yet but it will be on June 30th in the afternoon sometime.
July 9th Albuquerque Academy
Albuquerque Academy is teaching a engineering courses over the summer session. One of them is an introduction to Mechanical Engineering in which students must build a motorized gear-driven toy. On July 9th, 2015 from 8:10am-10:15am student will present their toys to three judges to evaluate the projects and select a winner. Remember, every time you volunteer for an event to represent SWE you will receive points that will give you a better chance at attending the SWE conference in Nashville this year.
